WebWordSystem is an extremely user-friendly web-based translation tool with an integrated term base and  translation memory.
 
Your company's specific terms and fixed expressions are registered in the term base. The term base can be updated as new terms are required.

When employees in the company need to know which translation the company uses for a given term or phrase, they can access it via the internet, anywhere in the world.

The system automatically saves all your company's translations sentence by sentence in the translation memory. Every time a new text is translated, the translation memory grows and your linguist will be better positioned the next time a text needs to be translated, as the likelihood of matches increases day by day.

Whenever a linguist needs to translate a sentence that is identical or almost identical with a previously translated sentence (a segment), the system automatically shows this translation, which can then be edited if necessary. In many cases, translators can save up to 80 % of the time spent on a translation when matches are obtained.

Each of the two databases contains a company-specific area - Private area - for which only the company's users have access, and an area for all users - Public Area - to which the company may upload all terms, fixed expressions and sentences they wish to share with other users. Thus, the company contributes to the creation of a unique global knowledge database.

In addition, the two databases are sub-divided according to language combination and subjects, ensuring that the company only receives suggestions for subject-related translations. The company decides which subject it wishes to use.

In Public area, the users will pay for any foreign terms and segments they use, but at the same time companies which have uploaded terms and segments to the Public Area will have the opportunity to earn money when other users use their terms and segments. WebWordSystem contains an automatic billing module which continuously keeps track of the company's purchases and sales of terms and segments. Before the system can be used, a payment on account must be made, and the Group Administrator (GA) can access the system at any time to check the balance of the company's purchase account. The GA can also monitor the purchases of the individual users. When the balance drops below an agreed level, another payment on account must be made.
